The iconic “Charlie’s Angels” actress Farrah Fawcett died today after a three-year battle with cancer. She was 62.

According to People.com, Fawcett died at 9:28 a.m. PST at St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif.

Over the last few days, loved ones had been gathering at Fawcett’s bedside as her health took a turn for the worse, the New York Daily News reported.

A Catholic priest performed last rites at the Los Angeles hospital where the star was being treated for the anal cancer that has spread to her liver, according to ABC News.

The actress was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and her fight for survival was chronicled in the NBC documentary, “Farrah’s Story.”

Her longtime love, actor Ryan O’Neal, 68, said in an interview with Barbara Walters for ABC’s “20/20” that he asked Fawcett to marry him and “she’s agreed.” O’Neal said they will tie the knot “as soon as she can say yes.”

Walters’ interview with O’Neal airs at 10 p.m. today on ABC.

Fawcett and O’Neal have a 24-year-old son, Redmond.
